New CheckdMedia appointment will play “vital role in growth”

CheckdMedia’s new Head of Commercial Harry Bowden will “play a vital role in the strategy and growth” of the firm, according to CEO Jamie KnowlsonFormerly of Oddschecker, he will report to co-founder and Marketing Director Lee Struggles.

Bowden boasts an extensive list of industry experience, with a stint at Sky Bet preceding his seven years at Oddschecker.

On accepting the role, he said: “I’ve known Jamie and Lee for years and can’t wait to be part of an already thriving business. They’ve established themselves as one of the industry’s leading sports betting communities and have incredibly exciting growth plans. I’m looking forward to working with them and our operator partners to truly realise our potential.”

CheckdMedia’s brands include the likes of FootyAccumulators.com, The Winners Enclosure and the 2017-acquired brand Oddschanger. As well as being the main contact between the firm and its partners, Bowden will play a key role in bringing in new business and opportunities for the B2B areas recently launched on CheckdMedia’s newly revamped website.

Knowlson added: “We are very excited for Harry to join the team. With his wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry, he’s going to play a vital role in the strategy and growth of CheckdMedia and will be a particularly important player in our plans to expand worldwide.”

The appointment consolidates what has been a fruitful start to 2019 for Checkdmedia, after the Manchester-based firm launched a new B2B site just last week. The revamped site gives potential businesses the opportunity to navigate through CheckdMedia’s services easily, and includes the brand-new strapline: ‘Positioning your brand amongst the audience that matters’.

“The newly designed website gives our existing partners the best experience possible, whilst showcasing CheckdMedia’s offerings to potential new clients,” said Knowlson.
