Championship outfit Swansea City Football Club have unveiled Bet UK as the clubs the club’s official shirt sponsor, and principal betting partner, for the upcoming 2018/19 season.
As part of the deal the online casino and betting brand, a branch of the LeoVegas family, is to see its logo emblazoned across the new home and away shirts for the duration of the campaign.
Chris Pearlman, Swansea COO, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Bet UK to the football club. Being an established brand in the online gaming industry that’s taking its first foray into the sports market highlights the trust and belief shown in the club, and how we are the right showcase for many brands who have trodden this path before.
“I’ve always said we are a unique club and this also resonates into our commercial offering to sponsors.
“We pride ourselves on being able to attract diverse and new names to the sport which is testament to the hard work going on behind the scenes and a belief that people are buying into what we are trying to create here at Swansea City.”
To further illustrate its supports for the Welsh side, 21.co.uk, Bet UK’s sister brand, is to also be prominently featured on on the first team’s training wear, whilst junior sized retail shirts will remain logo free as stipulated by advertising legislation.
Mark Good, representing Bet UK, said: “As the main official club partner and principal betting partner, we look forward to working with Swansea City to bring the fans exciting content and offers that will enhance the matchday experience.
“BetUK.com has been a popular online casino in the UK since 2012. We are busy building our online sports betting product and hope to add this to BetUK.com before the new season begins.”
Mark Davies, Swansea’s Global Head of Partnerships and Sales, added: “Locking down the coveted title of shirt sponsor with a partner that’s new to British football is testament to the Swans’ relentless ambition to attract and build relationships with new club partners.
“The intimate nature of having your logo visible for a full 90 minutes is the purest form of club advertising.
“The gambling industry is so prominent in football sponsorship, it’s important we partner with a firm that fits. Bet UK alongside its sister brand 21.co.uk shares the same ideals, modern approach and determination in future growth.”
