Las Vegas conference will explore the esports opportunity for casinos

Much has been made of the potential opportunity that esports holds for the casinos industry in attracting the younger millennial generation, and moreover for the gambling industry in general.

Accordingly Narus Advisors is putting on a two day event in Las Vegas titled Esports & Casino Resorts which will explore this on October 25th and 26th at the SLS Casino and Resort. There is an impressive list of speakers confirmed for the event including Unikrn’s Rahul Sood, Global Head of Esports at WME | IMG Tobias Sherman, Director of Esports Operations at Twitch Nick Allen and many more.

John Caldwell, Partner, Narus Advisors said of the conference: “We see a tremendous opportunity coming between esports and casinos.  Early esports adopters in the land-based casino world are starting to see new customers arrive on property for new and different reasons.”

We think facilitating discussion and increasing understanding of how esports can benefit casinos and vice-versa is critical for the future of both industries. Esports & Casino Resorts is the first conference to speak directly to the budding intersection of these two worlds.”
Here are some reasons to attend:
  • First conference to specifically / exclusively address the intersection of esports and land-based casinos.
  • Over three dozen speakers from various corners of the esports and casino industries, including reps from Twitch, WME | IMG, Magid, UNLV, and Unikrn.
  • Specialised content for tribal gambling operators.
  • Specialised content for regional gambling operators.

The conference follows the release of an in-depth research report from Narus Advisors and Eilers & Krejcik Gaming. The agenda includes talks on how to fit esports into the floorplan of a casino, adding esports to a sportsbook, sponsorships and understanding esports fans amongst others.

There is also a fascinating talk on the potential of virtual reality, gambling and esports on the second day.

Chris Grove, another Partner at Narus Advisors, said: “Our research leaves little doubt that casino executives appreciate the significance of esports, but are less clear on the optimal entry points into esports for their companies. Our goal at Esports & Casino Resorts is to provide the gambling industry with a practical framework for identifying and evaluating those entry points today.”
