Arena Racing Company (ARC) and Royal Windsor Racecourse have announced that Sky Bet will be headline sponsors of the new Summer Sprint Series. The Sky Bet Summer Sprint Series will consist of nine qualifying races run over five and six furlongs.
Each race will be worth at least £10,000, including two £20,000 handicaps. The Sky Bet Summer Sprint Series Final will take place over six furlongs on Monday 15 August and be worth £75,000. To qualify to enter the final, horses will be required to finish in the top six in at least one of the qualifying races.
David Leyden Dunbar, Head of Partnerships at ARC, said: “ARC is delighted to welcome Sky Bet on board with the new Summer Sprint Series at Royal Windsor Racecourse. We already enjoy a strong relationship with them through their sponsorship at Doncaster, and as Authorised Betting Partners, it is fantastic to be able to work with their team on this new initiative.”
Stuart Dorn, Executive Director of Royal Windsor Racecourse, said: “Many thanks to Sky Bet for sponsoring the new Summer Sprint Series, which represents a real uplift in the race programme at Royal Windsor this summer. We are really looking forward to seeing horsemen getting involved and competing for the £75,000 final in August.”

To celebrate The Queen’s 90th Birthday, Royal Windsor Racecourse will also tonight host a Shetland pony race in which jockeys will wear her distinctive silks and the runners temporarily renamed in honour of her most famous horses.
