Titanbet continues its association with York Racecourse

YershonTitanbet.co.uk will continue its association with York Racecourse when the Knavesmire hosts its first Saturday meeting of the new season on May 21st 2016.

Titanbet is looking to boost its impact on horse racing and will complement its association with York by sponsoring a series of races on the all-weather track at Dundalk in Ireland.

After a successful first season in partnership with York, Titanbet.co.uk begin the new season with a double race sponsorship on the May Spring Meeting card.

The most valuable race on the card will be the £50,000 Titanbet.co.uk Spring Sprint, a five-furlong dash across the iconic Knavesmire turf that will be screened live on Channel 4.

Carrying the Titanbet sponsorship for the second year, the Spring Sprint went the way of the Tom Queally-ridden Monsieur Joe last May, a popular win for local York-based trainer Paul Midgley.

The return of Saturday afternoon racing at York is a sure sign that summer is just around the corner and the feature race on the card will be the Listed weddingmates.co.uk Grand Cup over 1m6f.

James Brennan, Head of Marketing and Sponsorship at York Racecourse, said: “I believe there is something special about York Races when a huge crowd is trying to solve a competitive handicap.

“I’m delighted that Titanbet agree and have extended their support to just such races on just such a day. Their support helps us offer the prize money that makes them such exciting contests.”

Russell Yershon, UK Sports Manager for Titanbet.co.uk, commented: “We are delighted to be on board with York Racecourse once again, one of Britain’s iconic flat tracks.

“Their first big Saturday meeting of the new season brings with it all the promise of summer, combining York’s unique atmosphere with eager crowds and – we hope – sunshine!

“The Titanbet.co.uk Spring Sprint is sure to attract a competitive field and will offer the type of gripping action that our racing punters thrive upon. Here’s to another thrilling season on the Knavesmire.”
