Paddy Power tops Festival offers

The increasingly competitive world of money-back offers helped leading online betting service and affiliate FREEBETS.com enjoy its “best ever” Cheltenham Festival. Last week’s National Hunt racing extravaganza from Prestbury Park saw bookmakers launch their annual assault on player recruitment and retention and the FREEBETS.com team has been busy logging and ranking the wide range of offers and promotions.

Paddy Power is well-known for its headline Festival offers and their money-back if a horse finished second, third or fourth in the opening race of the week, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, was reported to have cost the Irish bookmaker £4.5 million in payouts.

However, because the max bet permitted was £50, it was actually trumped by the firm’s same offer on Friday’s Triumph Hurdle, in which bettors could have up to £100. Ladbrokes’ money-back offer if Hurricane Fly finished first or second in the Champion Hurdle was rated the concession most likely to happen. But with a max bet of £25, it wasn’t enough to beat Paddy Power’s one.

FREEBETS.com Managing Director Iain Coward said:  “Headline offers from every major bookmaker ensured punters enjoyed the best value around last week. We enjoyed our biggest Festival ever with sports fans logging in to find the best tips and sign-up offers across the four days and it was the perfect start to what is a packed sporting schedule from here on in.”
