Utilising ID verification as a means to increase player loyalty

Identity verification is one of the more complex aspects of the customer onboarding journey with as many as 71% of online gambling operators noting that ID verification has become more complex over the previous three years.

Meanwhile, just 22% of consumers believe that operators are actually conducting identity verification, as concerns reflect that this is an area of the customer’s onboarding experience that requires closer scrutiny.

SBC has teamed up with GBG, experts in digital identity, to showcase an exclusive webinar ‘Winning the Onboarding Race’, on September 8th at 11.00 am BST.

GBG is recognised as a leading supplier of customised ID verification solutions for high-risk sectors, including igaming. The webinar will examine common faults by incumbents verifying customers and provide further insights on how to operate a seamless player onboarding experience, whilst keeping fraudulent activities at bay.

The panel, consisting of Alex Henderson, (Head of Compliance at GIMO), Chris Elliot (Senior Associate at Wiggin) and Sarah Stienon (Head of Legal & Compliance at Jackpot.com), together with moderator Rebekah Jackson (Business Development Director at GBG), will also attempt to lay out the most important aspects in having a customer onboarding experience that builds and maintains trust with the player.

In addition, the session will cover the idea of ‘good friction’, and how a stringent onboarding process can improve onboarding rates as customers have peace of mind that their data is being appropriately handled and maintained. How can an operator re-frame compliance internally, to function as a revenue generation or protection measure rather than a cost, and how a gaming company can use a robust onboarding journey as a means to gain funding.

Finally, SBC Webinars & GBG will also cover affordability checks, whether operators are doing enough to quell underage and problem gamblers, and whether affordability/wealth checks are enough in their current form.

You can register for the webinar taking place on September 8th for free by clicking here.
