Former Scientific Games CEO David L Kennedy resigns from board

Issuing a corporate filing, Nasdaq-listed Scientific Games Corporation (SGC) has confirmed that former Group Chief Executive David L Kennedy has chosen to resign from the firm’s board of corporate governance.

Updating stakeholders, SGC informs that Kennedy will end his 10-year executive tenure on 31 December 2019, after choosing to retire from all corporate activities.

Kennedy had formerly served as Group Vice Chairman of Scientific Games from 2009 to 2016.

During his executive tenure, Kennedy would serve as interim Group President and CEO through the course of 2013, maintaining corporate leadership ahead of the appointment Gavin Isaacs as Group Chief Executive.

The company said: “On December 3, 2019, after more than ten years of dedicated service on both Scientific Games Corp board of directors and in executive roles, as well as decades of service to MacAndrews & Forbes Inc and its portfolio companies, Mr David L. Kennedy advised the company that he will resign from the board effective December 31, 2019 for personal and family reasons.

“The company deeply appreciates his service and commitment and wishes him well.”
