Independent betting group Star Sports confirms that it will expand its retail footprint within the North West of England, confirming its acquisition of two Bet Sid premises located in Preston (Lancashire).

Updating the media, Star Sports details that its Preston expansion represents the first stage of a new exciting venture, which the betting group will announce in 2020.

Moving forward, Star Sports states that the acquisition of Bet Sid Preston properties shops will provide  a ‘solid foundation’ for its Northern expansion, with leadership in further discussions with several other independent bookmakers related to further acquisitions up North.

Ben Keith, owner and founder of Star Sports, said: We are delighted to announce the acquisition of new two new betting shops in Preston as we look to expand our footprint in the area.

“It’s a very exciting move for us and we hope to bring the good and personal service we have delivered for a number of years to other parts of the country, while it provides us with a line into several big punters in the area.”

The Star Sports acquisition, sees Bet Sid reduce its Lancashire bookmaker portfolio to 4 betting shops located in Chorley and Lytham Saint Annes.
