All change at the top of the League of Legends

An eventful Premier League gameweek 18 is now behind us, with Spurs losing ground in the race for the Champions League courtesy of defeat at Manchester City, and the revivals of both West Ham United and Everton still in full swing.

In the SBC League of Legends, unlike England’s top flight, it is very tight at the top and we have a new leader.  Paddy Power Betfair trader Sean McRory is new man at the summit, after threatening for a number of weeks, with 67 points proving enough to leapfrog his way to the summit.

Captain Cesar Azpilicueta saw his score doubled from seven to 14 to top score, accompanied by fellow Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, Liverpool talisman and overall fantasy football top scorer Mohamed Salah and Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku with eight points apiece.

Fractionally adrift, with five points the margin, in second place is Constantinos Digonis, a trader at Greek gaming operator OPAP.  Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso notched a goal on his way to 14 points to lead the way for his side, with captain Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling’s 12 points each also notable mentions, on the way to an overall 69 point haul.

Despite the league of legends being littered with high scoring managers, it was Adam Myers who top scored with 88 points.  Captain Salah getting things underway with 16 points, with four other players, Roberto Firmino (12), Wayne Rooney (13) and Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne (10) and Sterling (12), crashing into double figures.

You don’t have to wait long for the next fix of Premier League football, with Friday Night Football being welcomed back as Liverpool travel to The Emirates to take on Arsenal.

Potentially tricky away days await Chelsea and Manchester United, as they visit Everton and Leicester City respectively, with huge games in store for Stoke, Swansea and West Ham United who welcome West Brom, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United to their respective home grounds.
