Sky Bet’s away day initiative continues to reward football league fans

Sky Bet has continued its away day initiative by promising to treat the committed Bristol Rovers fans who are making the 215-mile trip to Bradford, to a free breakfast before Saturday’s game.

As part of the initiative aimed at rewarding the dedication of travelling fans, Sky Bet previously offered every single Derby fan who travelled to watch their teams draw with Sunderland a free drink at the Stadium of Light.

Sky Bet sponsorship manager David Tweed said: “Travelling the length and breadth of the country on a Saturday morning is what Away Days are all about.

“We’re lining the Rovers fans’ stomachs with a free breakfast before they set off to let them know we appreciate their commitment.”

Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke said: “I think it’s a fantastic gesture from Sky Bet to lay on a free breakfast for our fans travelling to see us in action against Bradford City.

“We have some of the best supporters in the country and I am pleased that their efforts to support their team by travelling so far on a Saturday morning is being recognised in this way.”

Sky Bet originally became the primary sponsor of the English Football League in 2013 and in 2016, the online betting operator signed a three-year contract extension, meaning the sponsorship deal will continue until at least 2019.
