Oddset agrees partnership with reigning World Champions

German football’s governing body, The German Football Association (DFB), has confirmed a new partnership with bookmaker Oddset.

Oddset will gain from a range of brand advertising provided as part of the deal which has been agreed until 2018.

The bookmakers logo will be prominently advertised during interviews both before and after matches, as well as across the DFB’s website and social media channels.

Oddset will also work with the current world champions to raise awareness of the risks involved with sports betting, specifically highlighting the potential dangers of match-fixing  to lower-tier player.

Reinhard Grindel, president of the DFB, said: “We are looking forward to working with a trusted partner, who is keen to promote amateur football, so that the DFB can identify that we are well aware of our high responsibility in this area.”

Christoph Schmidt, Oddset’s managing director, added: “We are delighted and proud to be the official betting partner of the DFB to support and promote amateur football in Germany. Fairness is a fundamental principle not only in football, but also in Oddset.”
