Playtech secures live upgrade of Betsson igaming services contract

Playtech Plc has continued its strong tier-1 commercial momentum by announcing that Betsson AB has upgraded its lead igaming services contract.

Securing a four-year extension, Playtech will deploy its customised live studio gaming suite across Betsson’s European portfolio for the flagship brands of Betsson, Betsafe, NordicBet and EuropeBet.

The partnership will see Betsson’s live casino games inventory significantly enhanced with the premium Playtech live jackpot games of ‘Quantum Blackjack’ and the newly launched ‘Adventures Beyond Wonderland’.

The partnership upgrade follows Betsson brands joining Playtech’s iPoker network during 2019, which was marked as a key igaming transformation project by the Stockholm-listed operator.

Ciara Nic Liam, Commercial Director, Gaming Betsson Group, said: “The continued popularity of live casino shows no signs of slowing down, which is why giving our players access to Playtech’s wide breadth of live casino games is a really exciting proposition.”

Betsson has become the latest European tier-1 operator to renew its igaming services contract with Playtech, following the renewed agreements by Flutter Entertainment and Kindred Group.

Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, added: “Betsson Group is a highly respected operator within the online gambling industry, and we are very proud to be working with them.

“Betsson Group already offers an excellent player experience to its significant international audiences and we are confident that Playtech products and innovations will only serve to enhance this experience further.

“With a continued focus on safer gambling, Playtech’s core strategy is to offer long-term sustainability and innovation for operators and a safe, enjoyable environment for players.”
