Best Holiday

My best holiday has be to the Maldives, it is a true paradise experience, staying on an Island that you can walk around in 10 minutes is pretty unique. Snorkelling every day and swimming with sharks was amazing too, I never thought I would hear myself say look there’s shark and swim towards it!

Also going out on a boat to explore other Maldives Islands was a great, the food and restaurants are some of the best I have experienced. Whilst in the Maldives we were told that Cristiano Ronaldo was in the Maldives too, staying on another Island, he rented the whole Island but we didn’t get around to visiting him during our Island hopping!

Best Album

This is a difficult question as I have a wide range of music preferences from artists and genres of music from Jay Z through to Cold Play, and I mainly tend to listen to multiple signal tracks on streaming services during my morning gym sessions, but ultimately I would have to say my best album has to be Lauryn Hill’s first solo album – The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, it’s a great album with a diverse set of songs that I enjoy.

Best Sporting Experience

My best sporting experience was playing a youth county football match at the old Wembley stadium. Considering that some of the best players that the world has ever seen have played at Wembley stadium, it was a truly special experience for me and I remember thinking, wow, Eric Cantona took a winning penalty from where I’m standing and that England won the World Cup on this pitch. The actual playing experience was like playing football on newly laid carpet, it was very special overall occasion.

Best Book

Richard Branson – Screw It Let’s Do It.

It’s a book where Richard Branson gives so much open and honest insight into the building of the Virgin business group, along with the can do, fun and fearless attitude he has, which helped him to launch multiple successful businesses from Airlines and banking through to gyms and trains, that form the Virgin Group. The message is in the title, “Screw it let’s do it” which is a great motto as in life sometimes that’s what you need to do when you have an idea because that’s the only way you’ll ever learn, yes there are risks but I believe taking the “Screw it let’s NOT do it” approach is even more risky as you’ll never know what could have been and where it could have taken you if you went ahead with an idea. As well as the can do attitude that Richard Branson reveals in this book, he also emphasizes the point of protecting the downside which is equally important.

Best Film

The Founder – The true story about Ray Kroc and the creation of McDonald’s, its a great film. The Founder is a film that has so many business and life lessons, there is one word that epitomizes the film and the story of how Ray Kroc built the McDonald’s business empire – PERSISTENCE. Ultimately nothing in the world can take the place of persistence if you want to achieve or be successful in any area of life.

Best App

WhatsApp – I think it’s the best communication App in world right now, it’s made the world even more instantly connected and I would say it’s the complete communication App, it has the ability to become its own telephone network due to the sheer number of people using the App around the world and in some countries people are charged to use WhatApp so it pretty much there with the business model, no wonder why Mark Zuckerberg decided to purchase WhatsApp for $19 billion.
