Racing Post – Darren Mohan – Using customer interaction to constantly improve

Racing Post B2B has grown to become one of the world’s leading syndicated content providers, with an international customer portfolio spanning 25 different countries and multiple different languages. The business wing of the iconic British horse racing publisher has had a strong 2017 – topped off by winning Best Multi-Channel Supplier at the recent SBC Awards – and plans are in place to continue this moving into the new year.

Darren Mohan, Racing Post’s Head of B2B Commercial Projects, spoke enthusiastically about the company’s victory at the Artillery Garden earlier this month: “We’re delighted to win the award for Best Multi-Channel Supplier, it’s always nice to be recognised for all the hard work we’ve all put in across the last year. We’d like to think we were chosen due to the rapid growth of our products across multiple channels and how we’re constantly improving the quality our products via customer interaction and feedback.”

Perhaps the Racing Post’s biggest success of the year has been the pioneering of new betting prompts that can be downloaded onto shop gantry systems. Unveiled in October, the systems have been developed to give customers snapshots of stats, helping them to make an informed decision when deciding on a bet. Mohan described them as faring “incredibly well” in their first few months of implementation, adding: “We’ve rolled them out to over 3500 betting shops in the UK and Ireland, with even more planned to adopt them. As always we’re working very closely with our customers to enhance the product to increase the effectiveness within the betting shop.”

Looking towards the new year, Mohan outlines a number of plans in place to ensure continued growth, including an expanded product range tapping into a number of other sports. “We are thoroughly looking forward to next year as the B2B team continues to grow at Racing Post due to the increased demand for our products and services.

“We also have a solid roadmap and plan in place for 2018 and beyond and we hope to share to fruits of our hard work at Betting on Football, Betting on Sport and ICE amongst others.”

SBC’s Betting on Football event is due to be held at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football Club, from March 20-23. You can get all the information about the fifth edition of the largest international sports and football trade conference at this link
