Madsen, who has announced his upcoming departure as leader of Danske Spil in March of this year, joins Fibetco as a governance advisor with the operator preparing for European expansion of its unique financial betting services.

Having secured a Malta MGA Class 3 license, this August Fibetco launched its European platform BetOnFinance.com with the mission statement of making ‘financial markets available to the man on the street’.

The governance of Fibetco welcomed Madsen as a member of its board, stating that the company had gained a ‘true heavyweight of the Danish betting industry’.

Commenting on the appointment of Madsen, Chairman of the Board Stig Holledig declared: ”We have followed Danske Spil closely since the liberalisation of the Danish betting market and we are impressed by its development and how agile the organisation has been during this challenging phase.

“With H.C. Madsen we are adding a great capacity to our team who will contribute to the further internationalisation of BetOnFinance – Both on our own platform and via international operators, who wish to add betting on financial markets to their offerings.”

Madsen backed Holledig’s positive comments: “After 12 good years as CEO at Danske Spil, I am now looking forward to contributing with my betting and consumer experience to the further development of Fibetco and BetOnFinance. I am certain, that this combination of betting and financial markets holds the potential for a massive international expansion – a journey I want to be part of.”
