Nicholas Hill – EveryMatrix – My ICE 2016

ICE Totally Gaming is considered by many to be the iGaming industry event of the year, and Nicholas Hill of EveryMatrix couldn’t agree more.

Nicholas Hill is Sales and Marketing Director at EveryMatrix, an iGaming software provider which is taking charge of stand N6-310 at ICE. Here he discusses what the firm will be doing at this year’s show and how he intends to attend as many presentations as possible with a view to keeping a close eye on the latest industry developments.

What does ICE signify for you? nicholas.hill.everymatrix

There’s no question, ICE Totally Gaming 2016 in London is the highlight of the iGaming industry calendar and a unique gathering place for all the major gaming players, including software suppliers, operators, regulators, etc.

For me, especially this ICE Totally Gaming edition, represents the moment we have chosen to display our next generation platform, EveryMatrix 2, and showcase the main advantages it offers to our clients.

I strongly believe that in order to be a leader in this extremely competitive market, you have to maintain your flexibility. So, to stay in line with the market changes and trends, every major supplier needs to adapt and grow. Our answer is EveryMatrix 2.

How I prepare for ICE

After many ICE exhibitions and conferences, I can hardly say there is anything special I do to prepare for this event. I am naturally interested in preserving my present connections and encounter my esteemed friends, but at the same time I do my best to meet new prospective partners in the industry and make some new friends.

Furthermore, I am indeed drawn to discovering any emerging technology that could advance my company’s business, since we are working in a fast-changing industry. For this reason, during the ICE days, I like to attend as many presentations and seminars as possible in order to keep myself up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry.

What I am doing at ICE 2016

Here, at EveryMatrix, we are all quite excited to display our forthcoming next generation platform: EveryMatrix 2. This major reinvention of our software solutions affects all our gaming products and we are more than happy to give additional details at our stand: N6-310.

Besides the complete rewriting of OddsMatrix into a best of breed sportsbook solution, more flexible than ever before, CasinoEngine and GamMatrix Evo aim to leverage cutting-edge technologies of real time analytics into the next dimension of business intelligence data and offering tools, whereas PartnerMatrix is the first platform that enables our clients to run a complete affiliate management system alongside an all singing agent management system (AMS) for the developing territories and Asia.

What I’m looking forward to see at ICE 2016

As everybody knows, ICE Totally Gaming 2016 in London is the place to be for all the big companies in iGaming and I am personally very happy to be part of the most exciting gaming event of the year. It is of course a very good opportunity to connect with old friends and maybe find some new ones.

As any other stakeholder in the industry, I am naturally interested in preserving my company’s present connections and meeting new prospective partners. At the same time, we are all here to find out what happened in the past and how events from 2015 will continue to influence our businesses in 2016.

Finally, among our interests and decisions, we are all here to learn and grow, discover new trends and understand any emerging technology that could advance our business in this ever-growing industry.

Where you will usually find me at ICE

ICE Totally Gaming 2016 in London is probably one of the largest events in the industry and there are expected over 25,000 people to attend over the 3 days. As you can imagine, as Director of Sales and Marketing at EveryMatrix, my job is to be all over the place, meeting people, connecting with partners and discovering anything new and interesting for my company.

Nevertheless, I suppose most of the time, you’ll be able to contact me at the EveryMatrix stand N6-310. Since most operators and partners will look for us at the stand, I guess that’s the main place to find me at our bar handing out a cocktail or two as well as information on our many products and services.

So, for all those wishing to have a little chat, just come over to our stand N6-310, have a drink with us, especially in our happy hours’ time, between 16:00-18:00, and let’s share some industry gossips! For those that are still in doubt, let me tell you that we have drinks from all our 9 offices in the world: UK, Romania, Ukraine, Armenia, Denmark, Norway, Malta, China and Philippines, so I am sure we can cater for you taste.

First ICE attended

I first attended ICE, then called AEG or the International Casino Exhibition in Earls Court, which then consisted of 10 or 12 3m x 3m booths that the few interested guys walked around unable to attend the main land based expo where all the action was. Over the past 15 years since being involved in the industry, I have attended many conferences, expos and seminars around the world. As for ICE, I can easily observe that the number of companies and people visiting or participating is clearly so much bigger than it used to be. We have large software suppliers, small and big operators, regulators in the industry, payment solutions providers, affiliates, etc. From all points of view, everything is bigger, larger and much grander indeed.

These days, the online gaming community pulls together a high number of visitors and I guess this happens mainly because throughout Europe and increasingly in Asia, most national states have started creating the legal frameworks and necessary legal conditions for online gambling websites to appear and grow.

I strongly believe that ICE Totally Gaming 2016 in London, which is now the biggest gaming event of the year, stands as a good indicator on how the gambling market has developed over the past 20 years. I think, at this moment, we can all refer to the online gambling world as a thriving industry, one of the few at this moment produces major revenues for all the stakeholders.
