William Hill appoints Crispin Nieboer as interim digital MD

Further to this morning’s 2015 (unaudited) performance update, FTSE listed betting operator William Hill has confirmed that Crispin Nieboer will replace Andrew Lee as Manging Director of its digital business division on an interim basis.

Lee who has served as MD of William Hill Digital since 2012, has been placed on gardening leave, with the operator yet to announce his official departure date.

Nieboer steps up to the role of Digital MD, having served as Director of Corporate Development & Innovation.

Since joining the bookmaker in 2013, Nieboer has served as a lead advisor in the creation of William Hill industry innovation incubator WHLabs in Shoreditch London.

On an interim basis Nieboer will be charged with leading William Hill digital operations, as the operator undertakes integrations of its new betting platform ‘Trafalgar’.

William Hill change in digital MD will further be supported by the appointment of Kevin O’Conner as the divisions new Chief Information Officer (CIO). O’Connor joins from S&P Capital IQ and was previously chief information officer at rival Paddy Power.
