Punters looking to gain an edge in their betting over international week would be well advised to go for the shorter priced favourites as qualifying for the 2016 Euro Championships approaches its end game.

Data from bettingexpert.com, the European-wide online tipster network which covers 10 different languages, showed that the average value of winning tips in the last round of qualifying was 2.07, suggesting that the fancied teams are making sure there are no shocks in their bid to reach France.

In comparison a losing tip over the last round of games featured odds of 4.20, meaning that those hoping for an unlikely outcome for a greater return were less likely to get anything back.
