Unibet has outshone the competition in the first round of Premier League action, according to the users on one of Europe’s biggest tipster networks.
Tipsters on bettingexpert.com recommended odds from Unibet for 14.7 per cent of their selections on Premier League football this weekend, putting the bookmaker ahead of rivals bet365 (11.9%) and William Hill (10.6%).
Of the 1,044 Premier League tips placed on bettingexpert.com this weekend, the average odds were 2.77 and an impressive 43.4% were successful– a strike rate that would have put many members into profit. The most popular bet type was: 1×2, with 29.7% of tipsters choosing this bet type.
The most profitable team for the bettingexpert tipsters were in the match between West Brom and Manchester City where a lot of tipsters backed City to win with an average odds on 1.70 with a very high stake. Unsurprisingly the biggest upset in the first round was in the match between Arsenal and West Ham where a considerable number of users backed Arsenal to beat West Ham.
The highest profit tip of the weekend was in the Chelsea vs Swansea game by Danish tipster sydsiden95, who correctly predicted a draw at odds 4.90 at bookmaker Cashpoint.
Bettingexpert regional manager Gavin Moore commented: “It was a great start to the Premier League season for tipsters in our community, even with some unexpected results such as Arsenal’s defeat to West Ham and Chelsea’s draw against Swansea.
