Rank Group Plc governance has stated that it is confident that the company will hit 2015 performance targets having recorded a strong opening 20 week period for 2015.Rank Group announced that like-for-like revenue for the 20 weeks to 17 May 2015 has grown by 5%, with total revenue up 4%.
Its Grosvenor Casino (retail) operations had recorded a 5% rise in revenues, driven by an uplift in customer visits combined with increased venue spend. Mecca Bingo (retail), revenues remained flat during the period, despite the operator noting a 4% decrease in customer visits.
Improved retail performance was supported by strong growth in the operator’s digital verticals. Rank Governance was pleased to announce a 55% revenue increase for Grosvenor digital division during the 20 week period.
Rank who have placed a concentrated focus on optimising Mecca Bingo digital channels, reported 18% increase in online revenues, driven by higher customer retention, an improved mobile product offer and a successful TV campaign.
