Zynga terminates bwin.party ZyngaPlus RMG products

Zynga

San Francisco based social games developer has officially closed its ZyngaPlus casino and poker real money gaming (RMG) products.

The closures of its products sees the termination of its joint partnership with igaming operator bwin.party, which aimed to create and promote RMG Zynga products on social media verticals.

Zynga management sent the following communication to existing RMG players

“We are very sorry to announce that ZyngaPlusPoker and ZyngaPlusCasino will be closing shortly.

“If you have a balance please log in to withdraw it. If you are having problems logging in you can reset your password or you can always contact us by calling FREE on 08003767968.”

Initially launched in April 2013, the RMG social partnership between bwin.party and Zynga Studios, aimed to target new casino and poker audiences on social platforms by offering social consumers RMG casino and poker games which could be accessed and paid through facebook

The social RMG products had been branded as Zynga products, but operated by bwin.party who would plug the RMG products into their igaming platforms in order to offer poker liquidity and shared/seeded casino jackpots.

ZyngaPlus casino and poker products were offered to UK customers only, as Zynga did not want to compromise its international expansion on social verticals by offering gambling related products. ZyngaPlusPoker product had received mixed product reviews from the online poker community
