A Paddy Power PLC senior management reshuffle has seen the appointment of a new head of product, a new head of online operations and a new chief of its UK and Ireland retail, in a management shake-up designed to focus the company on its products and customers.
In a statement, the Irish betting operator said Peter O’Donovan has been appointed Chief Product Officer’, leading a newly created product function bringing together the technology and product development teams across Paddy Power and Cayetano studios in Bulgaria. The technology department of Sportsbet, the company’s Australian business, will have a dotted reporting line into O’Donovan.
Johnny Hartnett, currently Director of Operations at the company and previously Chief Operating Officer of Sportsbet, has been appointed managing director of Paddy Power online, responsible for paddypower.com, paddypower.it, Dial-a-Bet and customer operations.
Christian Woolfenden, meanwhile, has been appointed Managing Director of the Retail Operations in the UK & Ireland. He joined Paddy Power in 2011, having previously held roles at Bacardi and Procter & Gamble.
