Betting on Sports 2019 Operator CEO panel

Operator attendance soars 37% at Betting on Sports

The status of the Betting on Sports and CasinoBeats Summit events as the leading forums for international operators was further strengthened by a 37% increase in operator delegates at the 2019 edition.

The September events, which were both held at Olympia London, saw representatives of 190 operators based in 36 different countries and serving every major market in the world gather for a busy programme of in-depth conference content and networking.

Overall attendee numbers grew by 40% from the 2018 edition, as delegates from suppliers, affiliates, payments solutions providers, trade bodies, regulators, sports clubs, law firms and the gambling industry media travelled from 60 countries to help make it SBC’s largest event to date.

This growth was achieved for all levels of attendees too, with more than 1,000 C-level and Director level decision makers present.

Andrew McCarron, Managing Director of SBC, said: “The attendance figures for this year’s Betting on Sports and CasinoBeats Summit were phenomenal, making it by far the biggest event we have held so far.

“It was pleasing to see so many new operators join us for the conference sessions and networking events, together with a large number of familiar faces who view our events as unmissable opportunities for their teams to learn about the latest industry developments and technology.

“With nearly 200 operators represented, including a large number of senior personnel, it is easy to understand why our events are known as great places for industry professionals to make key contacts and do business.”

SBC’s 2020 events calendar will see more sports betting and online casino content than ever before.

The schedule includes CasinoBeats Malta at the InterContinental Malta in March, Betting on Sports America at New Jersey’s Meadowlands Exposition Center in April, and Betting on Sports Europe at Stamford Bridge, London in June.

Those events will be followed in September by the inaugural SBC Summit at Fira de Barcelona, which will feature 14 content tracks addressing all the crucial issues shaping the future of the sports betting and igaming industry.

Each of the events will also feature exhibitions showcasing the latest innovations from leading suppliers, along with a selection of SBC’s renowned evening networking parties that allow attendees to continue connecting with senior contacts in an informal environment, all of which are included with the delegate pass.

McCarron added: “We’re excited about the prospect of taking our market-leading events to new venues next year and of producing our strongest content offerings yet, with hundreds of industry leaders sharing in-depth insights.

“We have already enjoyed unprecedented levels of interest in our 2020 schedule, reflecting the fact that senior executives from operators, suppliers, regulators, trade associations and affiliates increasingly recognise the importance of SBC events as places to meet key decision makers from across the industry for high-level business discussions.”
