Gaming in Holland will provide expert insight into the opportunities and challenges in the Dutch market, as the country works towards opening its market for licensed online gambling.
Held on Tuesday 20 March, the registration and networking day for Betting on Football at Stamford Bridge (20-23 March), the session will feature presentations by distinguished gaming lawyer Justin Franssen and Gaming in Holland founder Willem van Oort.
Following welcoming refreshments and a 30-minute networking period, van Oort will open the session, which will run in the Frankie’s ‘World Cup Bar’ sponsored by Trustly, by delivering an up to date assessment of the size and characteristics of the Dutch market.
Franssen, an attorney at law and partner at Kalff Katz & Franssen, will be up next to discuss enforcement of the ‘prioritization criteria’ from the Netherlands Gaming Authority (Kansspelautoriteit), the status of the new remote gaming bill, adhering to new levels of compliance and potential operator costs in the form of taxation and fees.
Closing the session, van Oort will be inviting delegates to visit and speculating as to the status of gaming in the country in five years’ time, before delivering a short who’s who of key local personnel, including major operators, suppliers and media organisations.

Gaming in Holland, part of the wider Betting on Football 2018 agenda, takes place at Frankie’s – The Trustly Bar at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 20 March from 15.30-17.00.
