At this week’s Betting on Sports conference, eMerchantPay will be launching a new payment efficiency programme that allows online gaming operators to assess areas of their payment infrastructure to realise efficiencies.
Speaking to SBC News ahead of the event, which takes place at London’s Olympia from September 12-15, Chris Smart, vice president of gaming and FX Markets for eMerchantPay, said it is now more important than ever for operators to ensure they get the results they need from their payment operations.
“The ever-existing challenge for any payment operator is to make sure they have the right payment methods with the right payment processes to enable the best possible customer journey, with the maximum possible success rate of converting a transaction,” Smart said.
“As gambling operators grow and we see more consolidation and acquisitions, the payment infrastructure within gambling organisations starts to become quite complex, with multiple providers operating on the multiple platforms.”
He added: “It is vital for operators to re-examine their customer journey and ensure their customers get the best possible experience with their payment method of choice.”
Smart, who will be speaking at the Innovations in Payments session at #boscon2017, said eMerchantPay has successfully repositioned itself within the gambling vertical during 2017.
“We have seen the fulfilment of some recent product enhancements internally, which have allowed us to realign our product offering and define our positioning in the market,” he said.
“We will be launching our payment efficiency programme at the show next week, enabling both new and existing customers to re-evaluate their current payment infrastructure to identify areas which can be improved, not only to increase efficiencies but to also realise cost saving and revenue opportunities.”
