Tight at the top in League of Legends

It’s been a weekend of mixed fortunes for fantasy football managers, with a stuttering top two in SBCs League of Legends being very much reeled in by the chasing pack.

Sports expert Constantinos Digonis Pinillos has leapfrogged his way into third place, taking advantage of the paltry 23 and 30 points scored by current leader Charlie Cole and second placed David Lees.  Two goal captain Eden Hazard saw his 15 points doubled to 30 for Pinillos, backed up by team-mate Alvaro Morata (eight points) and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea (eight), with his 65 points moving him 16 points off the summit.

Sports trader Renato Costache is another big mover, outscoring those around him to sneak into tenth in the overall standings. Hazard (15) was almost beaten to top scoring bragging rights by Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino (13), with the Manchester United duo of De Gea and Antonio Valencia (eight each) helping nudge the overall score up to 69 points.

This week’s top score came from the side currently residing in 42nd overall, with Lewis Watson’s 75 point haul firing his side into the top 50. Chelsea’s Hazard (captain, 30) and Morata (eight) featured yet again, with honourable mentions also going to Manchester City’s match winner David Silva (nine) and Leicester City defender Harry Maguire (eight).

Following this week’s potentially crucial Champions League fixtures, all eyes will be firmly fixed on Sunday when the Premier League returns.

Following Arsenal’s trip to Southampton two huge derby games feature in ‘Super Sunday,’ with Manchester United hoping to cut the gap to neighbours and league leaders City as they welcome Pep Guardiola’s side to Old Trafford, following new Everton manager Sam Allardyce taking his side to Anfield.

Saturday gets underway with Chelsea visiting struggling West Ham, while Spurs will be hoping to put their bad spell behind them as Stoke City make the trip to Wembley.
