Sky Betting & Gaming seeks 100 new jobs for Yorkshire operations

The governance of Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has confirmed that it will seek to create a further 100 new jobs within its Yorkshire offices of Leeds and Sheffield.

Online betting operator SB&G is one of Yorkshire’s biggest technology employers, the betting firm has further been listed as one of the UK’s fastest growing digital tech enterprises.

Since being taken into private ownership by private equity firm CVC Capital Partners in 2015, SB&G has more than doubled its workforce to 1,200 staff members.

Last year SB&G significantly expanded its headquarters space within the Leeds Wellington Place tech hub. The firm’s Leeds HQ is supported by an operational hub located at the Eclectic Works Sheffield.

Speaking to the media, Sky Betting & Gaming CEO Richard Flint commented on company update:

“I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved in the past two years as an independent company.Not only do we now have more UK customers than any other operator but we’ve also made a significant contribution to the region that we call home.

“Yorkshire has been a great place to grow our business and with continued investment from the Government in infrastructure and skills we are determined to keep playing our part in driving forward the Yorkshire tech economy.”
