UK independent bookmaker Betfred has hired sports media agency JDG Sport to help optimise its title sponsorship of rugby league’s ‘2017 Super League’ season (start date 9 February).
JDG, a content marketing specialist, will promote Betfred as title sponsor and best bookmaker for UK Rugby League. The partnership sees Betfred take up significant coverage on JDG’s loverugbyleague.com portal, the UK’s biggest rugby league news and information website.
Betfred marketing detailed that JDG deep knowledge of the sport was needed in order to boost activation of its ‘Betfred’s Super League’ sponsorship, one of the bookmaker’s biggest marketing initiatives.
Gemma Strath, Group Head of Marketing at Betfred, commented on the partnership: “Love Rugby League have been engaging with Rugby League fans for many years and as such, it made perfect sense for us to work together in this our inaugural year as Super League sponsors. Doing so allows us to get closer to fans of the sport and build strong relationships moving forward.”
