William Hill governance has promoted Group Director of Change Cem Miralay to the leadership position of Chief Customer Officer (CCO) of the FTSE-listed sports betting operator.
Miralay joined William Hill this May from European market competitor Betsson AB where he served as Chief Product Officer (2013 – 2016).
The promotion to CCO sees Miralay take on certain responsibilities of the Chief Marketing Officer role following last month’s departure of Alex O’Shaughnessy.
Following his promotion, Miralay will take on leadership initiatives and strategy of William Hill customer-centric operations for both online and retail betting divisions.
Following the withdrawal of merger talks between the bookmaker and Toronto TSX-listed Amaya Inc, William Hill governance detailed that the firm would focus on finding its new leader following the departure of former CEO James Henderson this July.
Philip Bowcock, Chief Financial Officer of William Hill currently holds corporate leadership as Interim CEO.
