The previous sponsor, Fawaz International Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Company, is owned by the club’s owners the Al Hasawi family, but evidently the owners have opted to look for ways to bolster the club’s income.
Nottingham Forest acquired a new manager this week, Phillipe Montanier, and are expected to make several new signings to try to improve on their finish of 16th last season.
It’s been a busy week in Nottingham as it was also revealed that Myprotein is to become the club’s official sports nutrition provider. The UK-based nutrition manufacturer will provide the Championship club’s first team and academy with a wide variety of its sports supplement products.
Andy Duckworth, Chief Executive of Myprotein said: “We’re really excited to welcome Nottingham Forest to Team Myprotein, and likewise honoured for Nottingham Forest to partner with Myprotein. Forest are a fantastic club, obviously steeped in history and with lofty ambitions for the future.
“Myprotein shares that ambition, and we are rapidly progressing towards our goal of being the world’s leading sports nutrition brand, having already become the world’s largest online sports nutrition brand.”
