The UK Gambling Commission has granted slots provider Magnet Gaming a Remote Gambling Software Operating Licence.
As such the Danish company becomes one of a select group of overseas suppliers which has the required licensing in place to comply with the 2014 Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act.
Magnet’s Head of Game Licensing, Thomas Nielsen, discussed the strategic importance of the deal as Magnet looks to move into new markets. Nielsen said: “The UK market is one of the biggest and longest-established anywhere in the world. As a result, its regulatory standards are extremely high and we are very proud to have been trusted with a licence.
He added: “We believe this will be a significant stepping stone for us as we’re confident our games will appeal to a new generation of British slots players and their excellent retention rates will have an impact on the revenue streams of UK-facing operators.”
Magnet Gaming will be at next week’s ICE Totally Gaming on stand N6-210. The company will be showcasing its games, including new titles Space Gems, Candy Kingdom, and Vikings.
