Genius Sports nets data and trading partnership with Microgame

Genius Sports has secured a major commercial agreement with Microgame SPA, having been appointed as sportsbook data and trading services provider for the Italian online gambling platform this week.

Under the terms of the deal, Microgame SPA will move to upgrade its data capacity and trading services with Genius Sports’ official data provisions.

The partnership will cover Microgame’s entire portfolio of 25 Italia ADM-licensed sportsbooks, including market leader Goldbet and heritage betting brands Betaland and Betflag.

Microgame confirmed that it had selected Genius Sports as a key services supplier as the firm moves to upgrade all sportsbook systems to improve content and reliability for its existing customers.

Marco Castaldo, CEO of Microgame, said: “The partnership with Genius Sports Group is an important step in the continuing development of our sportsbook. Adding the Genius data service will further improve top-quality event coverage for our customers, ensuring a better player experience and additional revenue opportunities.”

Moving forward, Microgame sportsbooks will have access to Genius Sports’ full suite of official data and pricing for the English Premier League, Euroleague basketball, LigaMX, NASCAR and a full range of FIBA and FIVB competitions.

Jack Davison, Chief Commercial Officer at Genius Sports, said: “The Italian market has been a hub of major investment for Genius Sports in recent years, from hiring to product development and official rights acquisitions. Partnering with Microgame, another respected supplier in the region is expected to further our local reach and will enable over 25 new sportsbooks to unlock additional in-play engagement and revenues.”
