Swedish state-owned gambling operator Svenska Spel has confirmed the promotion of Mikael Franzén to the position of Group IT Director.
Franzén currently serves as Vice President of Svenska Spel’s B2B sports & casino division and will assume his new role on 1 September 2019, reporting directly to Svenska Spel Group CEO Patrik Hofbauer.
An expert in the development of gambling systems and product cycles, Franzén replaces Jörgen Olofsson as Svenska Spel group IT lead.

Michael’s extensive experience in both the Swedish game that the gaming industry will be valuable in the continued development of our business. He has deep knowledge of the deal, which is crucial to strengthen the offering to our customers,” says Patrik Hofbauer, President and CEO of Svenska Spel.
Updating stakeholders, Svenska Spel governance details that it has appointed an executive with extensive experience in managing large scale, multi-channel IT and innovation led projects.
