Kambi backs industry new boy BetWarrior

Stockholm-listed sports betting platform and software supplier Kambi Group Plc has confirmed that it will support the launch of new online sportsbook property – ‘BetWarrior’.

BetWarrior is the new venture of former PokerStars executives Morten Tonnesen (enterprise CEO) and José del Pino ( enterprise COO), who seek to establish the brand as a challenger bookmaker within European and LATAM markets.

Kambi, the lead sportsbook platform provider for established industry operators’ Kindred Group, LeoVegas, Grosvenor and Mr Green, confirmed that it has signed a multi-year agreement to power the launch of BetWarrior.

Kristian Nylén, Kambi Group Chief Executive, details confidence in new BetWarrior matching industry challenges and scale demands as a new incumbent.

“The Kambi Sportsbook lends itself to those with the imagination and capability to innovate and deliver truly unique and personalised sports betting experiences to their players,” he said. “In BetWarrior we have partnered with a visionary operator and experienced management team with vast experience of European and LatAm markets that plans to do just that – leverage the freedom afforded by Kambi’s sophisticated technology to execute on their strategy to create a safe and engaging sportsbook product.”

Agreeing on a multi-year arrangement, Kambi will integrate its sportsbook systems and advanced APIs within BetWarrior’s ‘Omega Core’ platform ahead of a planned launch in H2 2019.

Entering Europe’s saturated online betting scene, BetWarrior founders Tonnesen and del Pino detail that Kambi systems were selected as the most flexible technology to achieve ‘differentiation goals’ and further leverage on ‘real-time personalisation strategies’.
