As anticipated Athens-listed gambling technology firm Intralot SPA has announced the first actions of its ‘group operating review’, moving to overhaul senior management within its operations, technology, digital and commercial departments.
Publishing Intralot’s 2018 results last April, company Chairman and majority shareholder Sokratis Kokkalis sanctioned a ‘full scale operating review’, as Intralot recorded declines across all core business verticals – licensed operations, game management and technology contracts.
Implementing a number of senior management changes, Intralot governance states that the firm requires a new structure ‘reflecting cost and operational optimisation’.
Moving forward, Intralot commercial unit will be led by Maria Stergiou as Chief Sales & Operations Officer, responsible for the Group operational subsidiaries, the supervision of projects worldwide and Business Development, Bidding, and Sales.
At an operational level, Intralot appoints Christos Dimitriadis as Chief Services & Delivery Officer, responsible for the integrated solution delivery and technical support of projects worldwide.
The firm’s flagship lottery unit will be led by Fotis Konstantellos as Chief Lotteries Officer, responsible for the product and technical development and evolution of the LOTOS platform and the terminals of the lottery ecosystem.
The update sees Intralot appoint Nicklas Zajdel as Chief Digital & Sports Betting Officer, responsible for the product and technical development and evolution of the INTRALOT Orion platform, the Trading Operations, and Digital products and services.
In addition to the appointments, Intralot confirms that current Chief Technology Officer Argyrios Diamantis has further assumed the role of Senior Advisor to the Group Management for New Technologies and Innovation.
All five executives will report directly Group Deputy CEO Nikos Nikolakopoulos, as Sokratis Kokkalis continues the firm’s strategic overhaul.
