FTSE-listed gambling technology group Playtech Plc has announced the launch of TotalCasino (TotalCasino.pl) – Poland’s first regulated online casino in partnership with state-owned national lottery operator Totalizator Sportowy.
Entering 2018, Playtech had been selected by Totalizator Sportowy as its lead digital systems provider, with the legacy Polish operator seeking to expand its services.
Totalizator Sportowy has run Poland’s lottery services for six decades, servicing a network of more than 17,000 points of sale across the country, generating social funds for the construction and renovation of sports facilities, a practice which continues to this day.
The Polish lottery group detailed that it had selected Playtech as digital systems lead, a company with a proven track record of delivering ‘broader offerings for World Lottery Association members including Greece’s OPAP, Portugal’s Santa Kaza and Sisal Italy
