R. Franco appoints Miguel Ángel Lázaro as Digital lead

Spanish gambling group R. Franco has confirmed the promotion of Miguel Ángel Lázaro to Group Managing Director of digital services.

Ángel Lázaro will be tasked with leading the R. Franco Digital division, overseeing the delivery of terminals, systems, projects and solutions for R. Franco partners.

The senior appointment sees Ángel Lázaro replace Alejandro Casanova as R. France Digital leader, who will depart the company this March.

An 18-year group veteran, Ángel Lázaro has held various executive positions within R. Franco’s technology and software divisions and has been a key stakeholder in R. Franco Digital’s development of services and propositions.

In 2017, R. Franco moved to bolster its digital services for Spanish speaking markets, moving to fully acquire technology and platform partner Mediatech Solutions outright.

In recent months, R. Franco Digital has won exclusive platform contracts, entering the Colombian market as lead digital platform supplier of Colombian gambling operator Corredor Empresarial S.A.

Confirming the appointment of Ángel Lázaro, R. Franco governance stated that they had appointed the right man with knowledge of markets and industry technology disciplines to lead R. Franco Digital fast growth and expansion strategy.
