Sky Betting and Gaming (SB&G) has continued its expansion into European markets, with the announcement that its German sports betting platform is now live.
This marks the second venture onto the continent for the UK’s most popular online gambling company, following the debut of its Italian product in 2016.
That move, marking its first venture outside of the UK market, came after a successful launch of the popular Super 6 product.
Jochen Weiner, Managing Director of skybet.de, said: “At Sky Bet we want to add to the enjoyment of sport. We have launched a great product with a wide range of offers in a variety of sports. I’m sure our customers will love it. “
Sky Bet Deutschland offers consumers betting options on over 45 sports, with 2,000 bet types also available spread across 20,000 live events per month.
Customers will also gain significantly more attractive betting odds on selected matches courtesy of daily price boosts, with “Kombi-Bonus” also offering a perk of up to 60% on combination bets.
In addition punters also have the option to realise winnings either in full or part before the end of the game, in a bid to bring them even closer to the action on the pitch.
Richard Flint, CEO of Sky Betting & Gaming, added: “Germany is a great opportunity for us. The market is growing year by year and there are plenty of passionate sports fans who we believe will enjoy our product.”
Sports betting is a growing market in Germany, and SB&G has stated that they expect “steady growth in the future” too, with wagers last year alone topping the €6.3bn barrier, representing an increase of over 40% compared to 2016.
