Cherry restructure of ComeOn sees Jonas Wåhlander depart as company MD

Updating the market, Stockholm-listed industry games and software supplier Cherry AB has announced that it has moved to restructure igaming subsidiary ComeOn’s senior management team.

Its decision sees Jonas Wåhlander step down as Managing Director of ComeOn Malta Ltd with immediate effect.

During H1 2017, Cherry AB governance completed its full acquisition of ComeOn! enterprise for a total consideration of €280 million. Cherry indicated that it would move to consolidate all its B2C igaming assets under the ComeOn domain.

Updating corporate stakeholders, Anders Holmgren, CEO of Cherry AB commented on ComeOn management changes:

“The integration process in our Online Gaming business area has reached a point where we now want to intensify our growth ambitions and further strengthen ComeOn!’s market position. Following a period of internal focus, it is time to take advantage of the strength that exists within the company.

“We have begun the recruitment of a new Managing Director for ComeOn! and the new management team comprises several people with experience from ComeOn! from the company’s inception. They will take the company to the next level in terms of earnings and market focus. The fact that several of them are also shareholders in Cherry AB will benefit development,”
