New European football season sees Betsson launch new mobile betting product

Ahead of the start of a new European football season this August, Stockholm-listed online gambling group Betsson AB has announced the launch of its new mobile betting platform for its brands of Betsson, Betsafe and Nordicbet.

In its H1 interim update, Betsson governance had alerted stakeholders that the company would move to relaunch the mobile betting offering of certain brand assets under its proprietary front-end ‘OBG’ technology framework.

The online gambling group details that mobile customers will see a significant number of improvements and new features including; more sports betting markets, live streaming and an improved mobile interface.

Betsson AB  CEO and President  Ulrik Bengtsson commented on the upgrade; “This is a major improvement of the mobile sportsbook. The timing of the launch is good as the English Premier League starts this weekend and the customers have already shown that they like the upgrade. We expect to see full effect of the new mobile sportsbook in the fourth quarter”

Upgrading its mobile assets, Betsson AB has detailed that improvements have been well received by its users during the soft-launch period which has recorded longer customer sessions, combined with reduced bounce rates and increased return visits.
