Ajax secures Asia Betting Partnership with KB88

Amsterdam Dutch Eredivisie football club AFC Ajax has confirmed that Asian focused online bookmaker KB88 will serve as its new ‘Asia Betting Partner’ for a period of two seasons.

This week, Ajax officials presented KB88 as a new Asian market partner. Ajax, Dutch football’s most historic side, will focus on promoting KB88 channels through its social media assets, with the club’s commercial team stating that AFC Ajax will form a presence on popular Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo.

Dutch sports channels have reported that Ajax has agreed circa €400,000 per season to promote KB88. The Asian focused brand has prior European football marketing experience having sponsored Premier League football club West Bromwich Albion during season 2016/17.

Ajax’s new Chief Executive and former club goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar confirmed the partnership to Dutch media this week, stating

“Ajax are delighted to announce our new partnership with KB88 We are constantly looking at opportunities to enthuse further our growing Asian fan base and to promote the club worldwide After earlier collaborations with Asian companies such as CST and Huawei.. this partnership feels very good and we look forward to this pan-Asian cooperation. ”
