Danuta Gray steps down as Paddy Power Betfair Independent Director

Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) Independent Non-Executive Director Danuta Gray, will not stand for re-election at the company’s annual general meeting scheduled for 17 May 2017.

Gray the former Chief Executive of mobile telecommunications O2 Ireland, had joined Paddy Power as an Independent governance advisor and member of the Remuneration Committee in January 2013.

Following the successful £6.6 million merger of Paddy Power and Betfair Plc (completed February 2016), Gray was transitioned to the role non-executive director for the merged FTSE100 enterprise.

Updating investors on Danuta Gray’s departure Gary McGann, Chairman of Paddy Power Betfair, said:

“I would like to thank Danuta for her valuable contribution to our board over the past four years.”

“As part of ongoing succession planning of the board and its committees, the nomination committee has already commissioned a search for prospective new non-executive directors and this is well-advanced.”
