Updating the market, Nordic Nasdaq-listed European igaming operator Mr Green & Co (Mr Green) has confirmed that it has acquired ‘all shares’ in Danish licensed online gambling firm Dansk Underholding.

The acquisition sees Mr Green acquire all Dansk Underholdning assets for a cash consideration of circa €9 million (7x EBITDA), with a further +€600,000 attached to the deal for performance related targets.

Furthering its presence within the regulated Danish online gambling market, Mr Green adds popular bingo brands Bingosjov, Bingoslottet and Balletbingo to its portfolio.

Issuing a corporate statement, Mr Green governance detailed that it would aim to launch its Danish operations by Q1 2017 alongside Dansk Underholding brands, as the company looks to quickly establish a its brand presence.

“Since we are focusing on expanding to locally regulated markets, an acquisition in Denmark has been high on our list,” commented Per Norman, CEO of Mr Green & Co. “Dansk Underholdning is a successful company that we warmly welcome into the Mr Green family”.

Mr Green governance informed of Dansk Underholdning,  CEO and Founder Peter Eugen Clausen, would remain as the CEO of the company after the acquisition and act as an advisor for Mr Green’s Denmark entry.
