Stockholm listed specialist betting exchange SpiffX has launched a brand new live betting app that makes betting in-play as easy as pressing a button.
Take 5 has been designed to make live betting accessible to a wider demographic of sports fans by making the concept as simple as possible.
Take 5 consists of a single button which, when pressed, places a bet at odds of 4/1 that there will be a goal in the next five minutes of play during a match.
SpiffX is hoping that the simple nature of the bet will appeal to people who like to play on bingo and slot games, but are put off by the complexities of sports betting. New sign ups also receive a free 10 button ‘pushes’ to their account, worth 10 euros.
Claudia Farrugia, operations manager at SpiffX, explained: “We anticipate that Take 5 will be many people’s first foray into live betting. We’ve stripped away all the complications, but left in the excitement with the simple question: Will there be a goal in the next five minutes?
“Take 5 is just the first product in a series of initiatives that we are developing to gamify the abilities of our Spiffindex exchange. We will be rolling more new products out that work off our exchange framework later this year.”
Take 5 is available to bookmakers to offer their customers through SpiffX’s B2B capabilities. Given the proximity of the European Championships, the ability for firms to offer such a simplistic yet entertaining product could be a good level of differentiation in a crowded market.
Take 5 plugs into SpiffX’s specialist betting exchange, which offers users the chance to bet on price movement within football markets. The operator also has a more traditional betting exchange in the shape of its Darkpool facility.
