Cecile Chaussard joins ARJEL as public policy advisor

chaussardFrench online gambling regulator L’Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne (ARJEL) has confirmed the appointment of Cecile Chaussard to its advisory board.

Chaussard a lecturer of law and political science at University of Bourgogne (Dijon) will advise the regulator’s governance on matters of public and stakeholder policy with regards to the French online gambling industry.

Under the current French online gambling framework, ARJEL is responsible for the issuing of licenses for the services of sports betting, horse racing and poker.

Announcing the appointment of Chaussard, Gérard Larcher President of the French Senate stated ARJEL’s advisory board would look to strengthen its code on ensuring public policy protections against addiction and consumer safety.

Joining ARJEL as a policy advisor, Chaussard has consulted numerous international organisation and businesses on French public laws and labour policies. Furthermore, Chaussard has specialised in the field of sport law and dispute.
