PKR CEO Chris Welch announces new senior management hires

Chris Welch the New CEO of PKR, has announced a significant changes and personal hires for the online poker operator, as the firm looks to adopt a new growth strategy.

Welch has announced the appointment of four new senior managers for PKR’s marketing and operational teams, with a view to turnaround its main poker product and rapidly grow revenues for its casino and betting products.

The changes see former bwin.party CRM Manager Stephan Clavel take the lead of player retention as new Head of CRM. PKR marketing will be further bolstered by the appointment of former Matchbook employee Alexandra Mihaiu as Head of Affiliates.

Operational changes see Barbara Polignano joining from Betway/Win Technologies as Head of VIP services. PKR payments is strengthened by the appointment of Krishna Brennan from Ladbrokes as its new Head of Payments

The senior appointments are the first hires made by Welch since taking over leadership of the struggling operator in August. Welch is working alongside a new leadership team comprising of CTO Mike Ellis and CFO Tony Browne.

“We’re delighted to bring such high quality staff on board,” said Welch. “Their wealth of experience will be vital as we look to move the business into a true multi-product offering. We have some very exciting plans for the business in 2016 and these hires will play a key role in driving business growth.”
