This week Bet Advisor and SBC catches up with senior football tipster Anton Ebdon. Anton is a very well respected and consistent tipster that has been with Bet Advisor for a long time. His reputation is so strong that many of the tipsters in the Junior Section look up to him and ask for his advice (which of course he gives where he can!). This last week has seen him record some truly impressive results. He provided his client base with 36 tips, recording a staggering 56.9% yield and some big profits.

SBC: How did you first get into sports betting ?

I placed my first bet in a local betting shop I went to with my friends and where I didn’t have a clue how to place bets or what is was all about. So I simply placed a long accumulator slip,as far as I can recall of 13 selections – with the teams I liked and all of sudden it was a winner – a funny fact is that I placed a 5 euro bet and got a return of over 1000EUR which was a

shock for me and for my friends who hadn’t given me a chance to win earlier, saying that this was just a waste of 5EUR placing such an unreal accumulator slip. Afterwards we had a two day party in celebrating this win! ☺ So after that “virgin” win I started to place bets on my own but didn’t have such big luck until I realized that I needed to perform some research and create my own strategy in order to make money from betting.

SBC: At what point did you realize that you can make some real money from sports betting?

Well, that was probably at the beginning, as I explained above. But as I said, it is more than just luck, and that’s why I perform research and have created my own strategy.

SBC: How did you come to select Football as your chosen sport?

I have been interested in football since I was a kid, supporting international teams and some club teams so it was an easy call for me. Being more focused on just one sport for me is more accurate in order to generate profits.

SBC:  Are there any particular events that you look forward to throughout the year?

I don’t focus on particular events throughout the year as according to my strategy and set filters, I search for bookies mistakes and try to spot best value, where the chance of hitting the winner is bigger.

SBC: What was your best ever bet?

Well I cannot describe my best bet in my history as there were several in the past fewyears, but I like some accumulators I placed and some single bets I made. For example, I recently placed and won an accumulator at combined odds of 722.24 – that was a good day!

I believe in a “series law” where in one day you can win massive profit and you have to follow your gut instinct. Such days don’t happen often so you need to stay tuned and await your chance. I’m also very good at hunting down great odds – it’s all part of the plan.

SBC: What kind of factors do you evaluate before making a selection?

Earlier I was following injuries, team news, H2H, weather, event place etc but these things don’t really matter so much when it comes to professional betting, so now my main factors are strict and pure statistics in a software programme I have developed by myself over the years and which helps me to shoot solid high odds.

SBC: What has been the biggest influence on your betting career?

Hmm. Tough one. Maybe it came from the other hand – when I became limited by the bookies and when they started to close down my accounts, saying I am not a profitable bettor, it occurred to me that I have an advantage over the bookmakers and surely can take an edge over them.

SBC: Do you have any future plans in regards to your service?

SBC: It’s up to you guys. I am happy with BetAdvisor which is growing its marketing to a worldwide level and the clients are accepting the long term profit I am ready to provide with my information via your site.

SBC:  What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your betting career?

Bad runs are really painful for me and I hate them, so they are probably the biggest challenge – I will explain more later.

SBC: How do you keep calm when you hit a run of losing bets?

So, as I said before, bad runs are really painful for me and I hate them, often getting stressed if such bad runs last longer than they should, but always later I laugh inside when things get back to normal as this is a part of this business. So I always need to stay calm no matter what and accept the defeat as you cannot win forever

SBC:  How do you organize your bank management?

I try to place bets with flat stakes as it is better management for me, where my stake is between 100-500eur on single bets. I always have an initial bankroll of 5000EUR (30- 50 bet stakes) and each month profit is deducted from that quota and stored in a safe account away from my wife’s sight!!!.

SBC:  What is the best reason you could give to anyone who was thinking about following your service?

Stay cool and be patient. Everything has its time and in betting you just need to wait for the gold run and also be prepared for the bumpy ride. I have been betting for over 15 years now so I can admit I am a mature tipster with huge experience. I always work hard to find the best tips with the biggest chance of landing. If you are ready to take a risk then I am your man to do mutual business with.
