GamCrowd and Clarion Events have agreed a content and event partnership that covers the international event organiser’s three core gaming exhibitions: ICE Totally Gaming, GiGse and EiG.

The long-term commitment, which has a renewal option at the end of the initial contract, will see the gambling-specialist crowdfunding and crowdsourcing platform reprise Pitch ICE at ICE 2016.

Building on the success of the inaugural competition, where a public vote saw online games developer Gamevy crowned winner from a field of 20 entrants, the start-up judged to have the most potential will again be admitted to the GamCrowd Incubator program.

GiGse 2015, which takes place at Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, from April 20-22, will be the first event covered by the new arrangement.

For the next two editions of the event GamCrowd is supporting the Start-Up LaunchPad competition, where companies will pitch their business propositions in front of investors and a room full of top-level executives. Chairman Ian Hogg will lead the judging panel and GamCrowd will create unique content in the build-up to, as well as at, the event.

The entry process for GiGse 2015 saw a total of 16 applications received, which are now being reviewed by GamCrowd and Clarion. The shortlisted five finalists will be announced March 31 2015.Chris

The companies will also host Start-Up LaunchPad at EiG 2015 and 2016 and each individual winner at GiGse and EiG will gain access to the GamCrowd Incubator programme.

Across the exhibitions, GamCrowd will run a series of workshops and seminars designed to appeal to investors and start-ups. It will also produce a series of white papers and thought leadership materials during the partnership.

“Since first working together at EiG 2014, GamCrowd and Clarion have enjoyed a successful partnership. Signing this deal cements that relationship and puts start-ups and innovation at the top of the agenda at the betting and gaming industry’s biggest events,” said GamCrowd CEO Chris North.

Kate Chambers, Portfolio Director responsible for Clarion‘s market-leading gaming events, added:
“Entrepreneurship is the heart beat of the gaming industry and I get great pleasure seeing the fledgling businesses we have helped support, grow and flourish alongside ICE, EiG, GiGse and our other gaming brands. This partnership reflects our commitment to and support for those start-ups whose currency is innovation
