Malta’s Minister for the Economy Chris Cardona and Malta Gaming Authority Executive Chairman Joseph Cuschieri have stated that

Malta’s igaming community is thriving as the EU member state looks to become the number one operational hub for igaming businesses.

The senior minister and executive chairman made the positive comments having visited the new business operations of recently migrated operator BetClic Everest Group.

Having discussed the operator’s migration from Gibraltar to Malta with Betclic Everest Group CEO Isabelle Andres, Cardona further stated that the Malta Government were committed to “furthering its business relationship with the igaming industry”.

“It is always encouraging to see the continuous investment from reputable international companies like the BetClic Everest Group in Malta. The government is committed to supporting the gaming industry in order to keep up the pace of competition and continue attracting foreign direct investment to Malta.” Cardona said

Cuschieri backed Cardona comments by stating that the igaming sector had proved to be beneficial to Malta in terms of creating value added jobs and business services.

Isabelle Andres thanked the Maltese Government for its positive support, during the migration of its business services, further noting that the operator was delighted to be licensed and active in Malta.
